Oscar's work experince with youth
A. As a veteran and member of the Unionville American Legion Post 535:
-Serve as the Youth Advisor Committee Chair and oversee the Boy Scouts program, Cub Scouts program, Junior Air Rifle Team and the Shooting Sports Program
-Earned American Legion Scouter of the Year Award in 2010
B. Church Service:
-Youth Director for Bethlehem
Presbyterian Church 1996-1999
C. Scouting:
-From 2005 to the present, served in various leadership positions to include
Den Leader, Cub Master, Charter Representative, Union District Commissioner and Council Assistant Commissioner
-Received District Award of Merit (the highest award a volunteer can receive at a District level
D. Coaching:
-Piedmont Middle School Shooting Sports Head Coach 2011-2015
-Coached various sports (elementary and middle grades) for soccer, baseball and football in Fort Ord, California, and for Piedmont Recreation and Marshville Recreation Leagues.
E. Union County Public School
-Approved volunteer and substitute teacher for Union County Public Schools​
F. Military Service
-Served 12 years in the Army 6 years active duty, 6 years Army/Nation Guard reserve
-Certified Master Drivers Instructor for the U.S Army
